José Mário dos Santos Félix Mourinho, GOIH (pronounced (born 26 January 1963 in Setúbal) is a Portuguese football manager. He is the current manager of Italian club Inter.
The son of Portuguese goalkeeper Félix, Mourinho started out as a player but he was unsatisfied with his mediocre career and switched to management. After spells working as an assistant manager and a youth team coach in the early 1990s, he became an interpreter for Bobby Robson. Mourinho learnt much from the veteran coach and worked with him at top Portuguese teams Sporting and Porto, and at Spanish giants Barcelona.
He began focusing on coaching and impressed with brief but successful managerial periods at Benfica and U.D. Leiria. He returned to Porto in 2002, this time as head coach, and soon became a force to be reckoned with, winning the Portuguese Liga, Cup of Portugal and UEFA Cup in 2003. Greater success followed in 2004 as Mourinho guided the team to the top of the league for a second time and won the highest honour in European club football, the UEFA Champions League.
Mourinho moved to Chelsea the following year and won two consecutive Premier League titles in 2004 and 2005, among other domestic honours. He often courted controversy for his outspokenness but his victories at Chelsea and Porto established him as one of the top football managers, well regarded by both his peers and the press. Additionally, he was named the world's best football manager by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) for both the 2004–05 and 2005–06 seasons. After a fall out with the Chelsea hierarchy he moved to Serie A, signing a three year contract with Inter in mid-2008. Within three months he had won his first Italian honour, the Italian Supercup.

MARADONA

Rafael Benitez is preparing to welcome Diego Maradona to Anfield.

The Argentina legend is back in the game.
The new Argentina boss has announced he is to visit England to discuss plans with Liverpool's Javier Mascherano and Manchester United's Carlos Tevez, and it is thought he may attend the Reds' Tuesday night Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid to run the rule over the tough-tackling midfielder.
"I know when Javier was told about the appointment he was excited, and very pleased," Benitez said. "I do not know whether Maradona will be here for the Madrid game, but it is possible. There are several good Argentinians in their squad for him to see.
"I have been told by the Argentina federation that he will be in England between November 2 and 8. He also wants to see Carlos Tevez in Manchester."
In separate comments, Benitez urged fans at Reds striker Robbie Keane's old club, Spurs, to treat their former idol with respect when Liverpool visit tomorrow.
The north Londoners are expected to offer a largely hostile reception to Keane, but Benitez compared the striker's return to Peter Crouch's arrival at Anfield in a Portsmouth shirt on Wednesday, just months after his move to Fratton Park.
The Spaniard said: "Peter came back to Liverpool this week and was given a great reception. He will always be a good player and he has the respect of our fans.
"I do not believe that Robbie has anything to prove, he has great quality. Hopefully Spurs fans will acknowledge this and what he did for them, and that he is now with another team.
"Keane is available after his slight [groin] injury; he wants to play every game anyway, but yes, this one is very important to him."

THEIR KIT

Chelsea's traditional kit colours are royal blue shirts and shorts with white socks. The club crest has been changed several times in attempts to modernise or re-brand; the current crest, featuring a ceremonial lion holding a staff, is a modified version of the one first adopted in the 1950s.[4] The club enjoys a large fan base, with the fifth highest average all-time attendance in English football.[5] Their average home gate for the 2007-08 season was 41,673, the fifth highest in the Premier League.[6]
